Crying sky
I
reached my hand out in the clear drops of rain
Searching for an answer when you pulled me in from the soft, white
rain
You left me in my solitude in the sky blue rain
But held my hand behind my back in the turqoise drops of rain
Fingers entwined, we never let go...
Together, we sheltered ourselves from the light, lavender rain
Tasting on our skin the sweet droplets of the violet rain
And when we weren't looking, we had reached the crying sky and
felt the angel's wings in flight in the silent deep purple rain
With you on my shoulders and me on yours, we touched the sky...
Now I feel your hand slowly slipping away in the dark, midnight
rain
Your gentle cry echoes through me and becomes my own in the
torrent of black rain
My tears mix with the falling droplets of the sky's velvet, maroon
rain
With a screaming tear from my eyes falls the final red drop of
rain
I can only hope those perfect memories will remain embedded in
your mind just as they rest sweetly next to my heart...
Like an iridescent drop that falls onto a still lake and spreads
with but a touch
Reflected in the tears of the crying sky
Shimmering in the slight glimmer of a rainbow
There stands the legacy of you...
