Fallen sail

She stood on the edge of Destiny
Reaching out into the deep blue sea
Wishing her lover's fingers in her hair
Reliving the gaze of her lover's stare

Teardrops raging down her blossom cheeks
Falling silently into the passing weeks
Blending carefully with the ocean wave
The only marker on her lover's grave

She cried the sorrow of an ageless tale
The grieving lover of a fallen sail
Listening for his lingered goodbye
As it echoed endlessly in the ashen sky

So she stands weeping alone at the pier
Silently whispering in her lover's ear
Her scarf blows gently in the wind
As she meets her lover in the water's tint.
