The Ultimate Sacrifice

Two great men set against each others will
Two great nations caught in a game of strategy and skill
Both on crossroads in each others paths
Both aware of each others wrath
Each awaiting its opponents swing
Like an axe hung upon a fraying string
Tension set upon anger
Emotions overcome by fear
The final thread finally gives way
To play a game for which millions will pay
And with the swing of the axe the Innocent perish
Set ablaze in blood, fire and anguish.

Two great men set against each others will
Millions of Innocents all set to kill

What could be worth the ultimate sacrifice?
To solve a game that could be ruled by dice?
